Course Title: Geographers in Progress.

Description of the course. 

This course will be applied to the second semester geography group of the University of Córdoba with the purpose of improving listening and speaking skills through presentations such as poster presentation, slides web tools etc. as we know that these students one of their favorites Activities is Reading We want to strengthen your listening level with a strategy called “audiolingual”. It should be noted that students are at an A2 level but with certain shortcomings in the aforementioned skills. So, the intention of this course is related to the students being in a true or real A2.

Learning objectives of the course

Lower level of learning

•  This course will help students to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). And it will help students to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate.

•  In this course students will understand enough to keep conversation going of his/her own accord and answer questions and respond to simple statements.

•  This course will implement several ways for students to make their presentations or presentations can use slides, posters, and even web tools to facilitate the learning process.

Learning Outcomes

•  By the end of this course, the students of geography program of second semester will have been reinforced their speaking through different strategies as poster or slide presentations and through audiolingual student will familiarize with the wright pronunciation of the words or maybe the different sounds of the vowels in English and also student can realize of the rhythm to level up their proficiency level and be able to become true A2.

Listening

• By the end of this course students  will understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment)and they will catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.

Speaking

• Students will use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms their family and other people, living conditions, their educational background and their present or most recent job.
